Biography

I've been a 2D artist for many years with a focus on painting, drawing, and mixed media.

My work tries to capture powerful, potent images that speak to the heart and soul. I am curious and enjoy delving into new aspects of art.

Dance Alive Metal Art combines the thrill of venturing into the world of metal sculpture with some of my life long passions: life drawing, dance, and gardens. I am now beginning an exploration of 3D sculpture at College of Marin...using clay, wood, plaster, casting, and many other mediums and techniques.

Julie’s Tree Concept

Mama’s Loving Arms

Mama's Loving Arms references the Goddess who holds us all tenderly in her embrace...the forms of plants, trees, and animals are interrelated and repeat each other...these branches remind me of arms...they sprout hands....perhaps the hands may hold a baby bird...or a baby...the forms remind me of "Rock A Bye Baby"....perhaps there will be places to snuggle and get comfy....right now I'm working with clay...I would hope that a large version would retain the lovely arm like curves...anyone who is interested in contributing to this piece please get in touch...collaboration, especially for a larger version, is most welcome
